ACN’s 2015 Camp Nurse Symposium & Annual Meeting

Hilton New Orleans Riverside (New Orleans, LA)

Taking place at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside (New Orleans, LA), ACN’s 2015 Annual Meeting and Camp Nurse Symposium will occur in early February. Early plans call for the Annual Meeting on Monday evening, 2 Feb, followed by the Symposium on 3-4 February 2014.

Mark your calendar and watch this area for updates as preliminary plans get firmed up. As in previous years, ACN is planning to collaborate with ACA?s national conference for a day, allowing participants to enjoy benefits of both events.

A Call for Presentation Proposals will come out in early summer. If you are interested in presenting and want some information now, please contact acn@acn.org.

The Nuts & Bolts of Camp Nursing (module 1)

Sponsored by Rush University (Chicago, IL), this self-paced online course presents the role of the camp nurse and discusses provision of camp nursing care. Wilderness First Aid for Camp Nurses

This highly interactive course uses camp scenarios to teach the critical thinking and skills that bridge nursing knowledge with that needed in the camp setting.
