Running an Effective Camp Health Centre (video) $25 (plus $5 S/H, GST)

This VHS video explores what it means to run an effective, efficient camp Health Centre in today's camping environment. The video discusses how the camp "infirmary" has evolved from a reactive, illness-injury model to a proactive, broad based service with an emphasis on wellness. The camp Health Centre may treat illness and injury but its larger purpose is to promote healthy lifestyles for campers and staff. Topics include the importance of communication skills, confidentiality, health centre organization, documentation, special needs campers and staff development. An excellent teaching tool for nursing education with a focus on community health!

Camp Health Issues $20 (includes GST)
